‘History of DMK & Cong is full of scams and corruption': PM Modi

‘History of DMK & Cong is full of scams and corruption': PM Modi

Kanyakumari, Mar 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the “DMK-Congress INDIA alliance can never make Tamil Nadu a developed State as its history is of scams and corruption.”
Addressing an election rally here, as part of his Southern outreach for the Lok Sabha election, Modi said on one side, you (people) have the welfare schemes of BJP. On the other side, you have the scam list of the INDIA alliance.
We provided people with optical fiber and 5G internet. But, they (INDIA alliance) took people’s money by orchestrating the 2G scam, he said.
We initiated the UDAN scheme, and they initiated the Helicopter scam.
We have the results of Khelo India, they have the scam of the Commonwealth Games, the PM added.
Modi said DMK and Congress want to come to power to loot people. The DMK is the biggest beneficiary of the 2G scam, he said.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir rejected those who dreamt of breaking the country. Now, the people of Tamil Nadu are going to do the same,” the PM said.
'Our performance in Tamil Nadu this time will shatter the arrogance of the DMK-Congress INDIA alliance', he said and added “Today, the wave that is rising from Kanyakumari, the Southern tip of the country, will go very far,”
Lashing out at the DMK, the Prime Minister in his fifth visit to Tamil Nadu this year, said the DMK is an enemy to the future and heritage of the state and they hate Indian culture.
Before the Ayodhya Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony, I came to Tamil Nadu and visited the important temples. But, the DMK government attempted to stop the telecast of the Ram temple consecration. The Supreme Court had to reprimand the Tamil Nadu government on this. They (DMK) also did not like the installation of the Sengol in the new Parliament.
He said the DMK and Congress only know how to cheat and insult women. The people of Tamil Nadu know how the DMK behaved with the late TN Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. That culture continues today. Both the DMK and Congress were anti-women and they do politics in the name of women. DMK leaders also questioned our move to bring the Women’s Reservation Bill.
Modi said the NDA government paved the way for Jallikattu’s return to Tamil Nadu and worked non-stop for development of the State.
