'Lotus will bloom' in Kerala: PM Modi

'Lotus will bloom' in Kerala: PM Modi

Pathanamthitta, Mar 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed on Friday that 'Lotus will bloom' in Kerala in the upcoming Lok Sabha election as people will vote for the BJP to keep away both the corrupt LDF and UDF from power.
Addressing a public meeting organised by the BJP in connection with election campaign here , the Prime Minister, who began his speech by chanting 'Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa', said his party will win 400 plus seats in the election.
He said the BJP always encourages youth, and the party's candidate, Anil K. Antony, contesting the Pathanamthitta seat, is here to serve the people.
"Congress-led UDF and CPI(M)-led LDF, who are acting as opponents in Kerala, are joining hands with each other in Delhi. They are cheating voters in Kerala," Modi said.
Though spirituality is part of people's life in Kerala, political violence shatters peace and the normal life of people, he said.
Alleging that the law and order in Kerala has collapsed, he said college campuses in Kerala became a den of goondas of the ruling CPI(M).
Seeking votes for the BJP to defeat both parties, he said the ruling LDF is known for gold smuggling, while the Opposition UDF is identified with solar scams.
The Prime Minister also highlighted benefits of several Central schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
The meeting was attended by Padmaja Venugopal, who recently joined the BJP after quitting the Congress, BJP leaders, and Lok Sabha candidates V Muraleedharan (Attingal), Sobha Surendran (Alappuzha), and Baiju Kalasala (Mavelikkara).
