Byregowda's assertion on reduced funds devolvement to K'taka misleading: BJP

Bengaluru, April 7 (UNI) The BJP on Sunday described as "misleading" Karnataka Minister Krishna Byregowda's assertion that funds devolved to the state have been reduced.
"Byregowda's larger assertion that funds devolved to Karnataka have been decreased is grossly misleading. Centre has made countless efforts since 2014 to develop Karnataka and undertake welfare measures for the Kannadigas. Both Tax Devolution and Grants in Aid to Karnataka have tripled in 10 years of NDA compared to 10 years of UPA," the principal opposition party claimed on X.
BJP further claimed that Byregowda has failed to mention that Karnataka has benefited through various efforts and schemes of the Centre. It said the central government has significantly increased both Tax Devolution and Grants in Aid to Karnataka over the past decade.
