LS polls : Rahul says INDI Alliance will win to save democracy, Constitution, makes slew of promises

Coimbatore, Apr 12 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and
the RSS, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday evening asserted that INDIAlliance will
win the Lok Sabha polls in this ideological battle, and made a slew of promises that included passage
of Right to Apprentice Law for unemployed youths with Rs one lakh per year for training by filling up of 30 lakh job vacancies, Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers, waiver of crop loans and depositing Rs 8,500 per month (Rs one lakh per year) in the bank accounts of people below the BPL.
Among the other promises included doubling the wages of Asha and Anganwadi workers and removal of 50 per cent artificial barrier on reservation to ensure equal justice in the country and conduct of case census nationally, if the INDIA bloc assumes power after the polls.
Addressing an election meeting in this Textile city by sharing dais with DMK President and
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, campaigning for the DMK-led Front candidates ahead
of the April 19 single phase polling for 39 seats in TN and the lone seat in Puducherry,
Mr Rahul said this election was an ideological battle and historic decisions will be taken after
the INDI alliance comes to power.
Stating that the country is facing unemployment problem for the last 45 years, he said the first is clearing the unemployment problem by filling up 30 lakh vacancies to ensure employment for the unemployed.
Noting that only rich people sent their people for apprenticeship in various firms after getting lakhs of rupees, depriving the youth of their opportunity, Mr Rahul said, apprenticeship is the stepping stone for employment. "It is the first step for employment", he added.
'We will be passing a Right to Apprentice Law for all Indian youngsters under which any graduate,
diploma holder can ask the Government of India for apprenticeship and they will given it it private,
