Telangana Cong lodges complaint with CEC against PM Modi over 'Chai Pe Charcha' with Bill Gates

Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Senior Vice President G Niranjan lodged a complaint with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar on Saturday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent ''Chai Pe Charcha'' session with Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates, which is a violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and potential undue influence on voters.
In a letter to the CEC, Nirajan, also the Chairman of the Election Commission Coordination Committee, urged Rajiv Kumar to address concerns related to the "Chai Pe Charcha" session.
He highlighted the history of Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) using the "Chai Pe Charcha" campaign during the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, organizing gatherings nationwide for discussions.
