AP: 5 killed as car rams stationary lorry

Nellore April 16 (UNI) Five persons were killed when the car in which they were travelling rammed a stationary lorry at Gowravaram village in Kavali mandal on the Chennai-Kolkata national highway on Tuesday.
Police said that the deceased belonged to Chamadhula village in Jaladanki mandal. They were going to Vijayawada to attend a family function. Their car rammed a stationary lorry killing five persons including three women and a child. The deceased were identified as Ganta Ramanamma, Davuluri Srinivasulu, Davuluri Varalakshmi, Ganta Neelima and Ganta Nandu.
DSP Venkataramana visited the scene of the accident. A case was registered and the bodies were shifted to the GGH in Kavali for postmortem.

Two JNTUK students selected for prestigious Amazon education programme

Kakinada, May 1 (UNI) Two girl students of CSE first year of JNTUK College of Engineering – G Padmapriya and M. Kavitha - have been selected for the prestigious Amazon Future engineering programme in the National level competition.
