Upper reaches of Kashmir, Ladakh receive fresh snowfall, rains lash plains

Srinagar, Jan 2 (UNI) Upper reaches of Kashmir, including tourist resorts of Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg, received a fresh snowfall while plains were lashed by rains on Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Department Centre, the night temperature improved in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh in view of the cloudy sky. Srinagar recorded a minimum of 0.3 degree Celsius against the normal -2.1 degree Celsius recorded this season. Srinagar have received 1.2 mm of rainfall since Saturday night.
