WD to cause light snowfall in Kashmir, Ladakh

Srinagar, Jan 16 (UNI) Night temperature improved in Kashmir valley and Ladakh ahead of a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) that is likely to affect the weather till January 19 and may cause light rain or snowfall in the two union territories, a Meteorological office said on Sunday.

There is no let up in freezing cold conditions as Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir recorded a low of minus 1.2 degree Celsius against the minus 4.5 degree Celsius a day ago.

Shimla, May 16 (UNI) Una sizzled at 44.5 Celsius, the highest temperature in past ten years, Met office said. Spokesperson of Shimla Met office said that Una had recorded the maximum temperatures of 45.2 degrees on May 31, 2012 and May 13, 2013.
