15 Gazetted Officers deployed to guard 1284 religious places in Kapurthala

Kapurthala, Dec 21 (UNI) In order to expedite the security of religious places in Kapurthala, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh on Tuesday deployed 15 Gazetted Officers to supervise 1284 religious places falling under the jurisdiction of all 15 police stations.
Presiding over a meeting with the SSP, DSP, SHO and administrators of religious places, the SSP said that there are 965 gurudwaras, 232 temples, 34 mosques and 53 churches in the district.
He said that the police stations in these GOs have been divided among the rank officers and the religious places falling under the jurisdiction of each police station would be personally monitored by the government officials.
