5L women in Himachal to get pension of Rs 1500 p/m

Shimla, Mar 4 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday announced that five lakh women in the age group of 18 to 50 would get a pension of Rs 1500 per month under the Indira Gandhi Samnan Rashi scheme.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the Chief Minister said he was to make this announcement during the passing of the budget on February 28 but he deferred the decision.
He said all women in the age group of 50 and above are already covered under the welfare pension scheme.
