Commissioner of Police shares festivities with martyr DSP’s family

Jalandhar, Nov 15 (UNI) In a humble initiative, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Saturday visited the family of a martyr DSP Pandit Tara Chand Hasteer to celebrate festivities of Diwali with them. The CP also presented flowers and sweets to the family besides having interaction with them.
The Commissioner of Police visited the family of martyr DSP Tara Chand, who laid his life in the Jagraon area in 1987 while battling terrorism. He also interacted with the martyr’s family and enquired about their well-being.
Divulging more, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that these families were integral part of the police department, and it was our collective responsibility to take care of them. He mentioned that the supreme sacrifices made by police personnel would be remembered by one and all as our martyred protected the country from inimical forces and nefarious designs intended to destabilize the hard-earned peace.
