Jammu, Jan 6 (UNI) As a precursor to celebrating Naushera Day with locals of Nowshera and also to help specially abled people of border villages, Indian Army along with representatives of Kiwanis Club, New Delhi commenced with two days Artificial Limb measurement camp at bordering town Naushera in Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu based Defence spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said that the camp aimed at preparation for meeting specific limb requirements of 24 specially abled locals of border villages of Naushera who have lost their limbs due to CFV, terrorist action, mine blast and other reasons over the year.
These individuals will be provided with artificial limbs on February 6 on the occasion of Naushera Day.
