Kailash Kher to 'enhance' musical knowledge of people with Indian Pro Music League

By Gaurav Kumar
New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) Bollywood singer Kailash Kher, who has created a niche for himself in the music industry with songs like 'Teri Deewani' and 'Allah ke Bande,' has taken up a new task, to 'enlighten' the common man about the nuances of music.
Talking about his new show 'Indian Pro Music League,' which began on Friday, the versatile singer said, 'This is the first-of-its-kind programme, where we have been involved creatively. It's like a family playing 'Antaskshri' (a musical game), but with proper sound.
"A layman does not have much musical knowledge. This will help them understand how music is created; how a bunch of people deliberate together, to create a masterpiece.
'Like people say, the industry can't have another Mohammed Rafi, but they forget that he had a great team of writers and technical assistants, which worked laboriously, to produce those gems,' Kher told UNI.
He has been leading the Mumbai Warriors, along with another singer Shilpa Rao, in the music show. Actor Riteish Deshmukh is the team Ambassador.
It also includes Punjab Lions, Bengal Tigers, Gujarat Rockers, UP Dabbangs, and Delhi Dhurrandhars.
The singer, who was in Central Delhi to launch BL Agro Ltd's first exclusive brand outlet in the city, said, 'I have been a strong believer of right eating habits. We should eat healthy food to keep ourselves fit.
'We have been witnessing another spike in COVID cases, but COVID is not the only threat for us, we can face another disease in the future.
'So, only we can save ourselves from such diseases. Therefore, I urge everyone to eat healthy food and avoid junk food, to keep our immunity stronger."
The Padma Shri awardee further said that India will play a major role in defeating COVID-19.
"India will be instrumental in defeating COVID-19. We have been giving vaccine to other countries as well.
'Even UN chief Antonio Guterres's heaped praise on India for helping the world in global vaccination campaign,' he noted.
India has been gifting vaccines to countries in the neighbourhood and other friendly nations.
Besides, total 600,000 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune, were sent to Ghana on Wednesday under 'COVAX' programme, which aims to ensure equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines globally.
