Kolkata: Trinamool takes a dig at BJP

Kolkata, Mar 23 (UNI) Reacting sharply to the CBI raid at Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra's residence in the cash-for-query case, party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh alleged on Saturday that the BJP has weaponised central investigative agencies to carry out politically-motivated witch-hunts against opposition leaders.
Ghosh said, "The BJP has weaponised Central Investigative Agencies to carry out politically-motivated witch-hunts against opposition leaders. "
" Smt. @MahuaMoitra had dared to ask tough questions that rattled the corridors of power. In response, she was summarily expelled from Parliament without even a semblance of due process, simply for being an inconvenient truth to the BJP's narrative, " he stated.
"The @CBIHeadquarters raid that was conducted at her residence today is simply a continuation of this conspiracy, " Ghosh averred.
It might be mentioned that the CBI conducted searches at various premises with links to Moitra, including her father's residence at Alipore in the city, in connection with the cash-for-query scam.
