BJD demands action against Odisha BJP for malicious chargesheet against govt.

Bhubaneswar, April 24 (UNI) Odisha's ruling BJD on Wednesday demanded punitive action against the Odisha BJP for circulating so-called charge sheets violating the model code of conduct.
In a petition to CEC Rajiv Kumar, BJD General Secretary Sasmit Patra said in the so-called chargesheet against the BJD government that the BJP had made baseless allegations containing "malicious defamatory content without evidence".
The chargesheet, Patra said, had violated the ECI section I, sub section – (2) as well as 123 of the provisions of the Representative of Peoples Act 1951.
