Tenders for floating power plant on Manair Reservoir likely in March: Singareni

Hyderabad, Jan 4 (UNI) Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N. Sridhar on Tuesday directed the officials concerned that the survey works for the floating power plant on Lower Manair Reservoir near Karimnagar, must be completed by end of February.
Sridhar while reviewing the progress of the ‘ floating power plant’ taken up by Singareni on Lower Manair Reservoir near Karimnagar, also directed the officials that the DPR (Detailed project Report) for the plant must be completed by the end of February.
Tenders should be called for in the month of March as soon as the permission is received from the Government, he said.
He suggested that the officials should take help from the district machinery for the setting up of this plant.
It is appreciable that solar plants with 219 megawatts capacity have been completed and business expansion has been taken up through Singareni solar plants, he said that no other coal company has taken up such expansion.
He said that it is a great recognition getting the Solar Excellency award for completing the erection of Singareni solar power plants and also starting production.
He said that Singareni would take up some more plants in the future.
He instructed that 15 megawatts floating solar plant must be completed by March out of the 15
megawatts plant being taken up on the water reservoir in the premises of Singareni thermal power plant.
