Necessary arrangements made at 49 centres for counting of votes: CEO

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (UNI) All required arrangements have been made for the counting of votes polled on November 30 for 119 assembly constituencies in Telangana state, on Sunday.
The state recorded voter turnout of 71.34 percent in elections while highest percentage of 91.89 registered from Munugode assembly segment, which has rich contender in Congress Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy and the lowest 39.64 percent in Yakatpura assembly segment in old city.
EVMs would be taken out from the well-protected strong rooms to be placed at the 49 counting centres where police have already taken their positions in a three-tier security strategy set-up, state Chief Electoral officer (CEO) Vikas Raj said in a release here on Saturday evening..
