NBW issued against former UP minister

Ballia (UP), Dec 2 (UNI) An MP-MLA court here on Friday issued non-bailable warrant (NBW) against former Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anand Swaroop Shukla and four others in a nine-year-old attempt to murder case, defence counsel said here.
Defence counsel Dinesh Tiwari said that on January 15, 2013 a student leader Sudhir Ojha was attacked with a knife in Satish Chandra Degree College in Kotwali area. "All the five accused, including the BJP leader, moved an exemption application in the court to exempt them from personal appearance," he said.
Tiwari said that the court of Special Judge Hussain Ahmad Ansari rejected the application and issued an NWB against all the five accused, including Shukla.
