N.Korean defence ministry condemns S.Korea-US joint statement on containing Pyongyang

Seoul, July 13 (UNI) The North Korean Defence Ministry strongly condemned the recent statements by the leaders of the United States and South Korea made at the NATO summit in Washington, as well as the new Seoul-Washington document on the guidelines on nuclear deterrence on the Korean peninsula.

On Thursday, South Korea and the US signed the guidelines, which regulate the interaction between the two countries on the issue, including the work of the Seoul-Washington Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG). US President Joe Biden also told his South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk-yeol at the summit that the US would deter possible North Korean attacks with a "full range of capabilities," the White House said.
