Mumbai: Urdu medium school children clean up Girgaum Chowpatty post Ganesh immersion

Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) About 100 children from different Urdu schools cleaned up the Girgaum Chowpatty beach on Sunday morning post Ganesh immersion.
Passbaan e Adab Foundation, an NGO headed by IPS officer Qaiser Khalid, said the children conducted a beach cleanup campaign as part of cleaning up Girgaon Chowpatty after the Ganesh immersion festivities. They lent necessary assistance to the authorities in the arduous task of beautifying the beach by removing solid waste generated during the festivities, besides doing their bit for the conservation of the environment and spreading the message of harmony.
The endeavour was supported by Alkem Foundation, Islam Gymkhana, and others. UNI AAA SSP
