Modi govt working for welfare of capitalist: Rahul Gandhi

Modi govt working for welfare of capitalist: Rahul Gandhi

Amroha (UP), Apr 20 (UNI) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Saturday that a road map has been prepared for the development of youth, farmers, and women once the INDI alliance forms the government, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of avoiding conducting the caste census.
In a joint rally with Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav in support of INDI alliance candidate Kunwar Danish Ali, Rahul said that today inequality is increasing in the country because 22 people have wealth equivalent to 70 crore people. "Two Indias have been created. 20 to 25 billionaires fulfill whatever they dream because the government works for them," he said.
He said that all the airports, ports, electricity, and defense sectors of the country have been handed over to a single industrialist. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has waived off loans worth Rs 16 lakh crore for the billionaires in the country, but it did not happen to the farmers. Whereas during the Congress rule, farmers' loans were waived off," he said.
The Congress leader said that whatever money the BJP gives to the rich, we will give to the poor. "Along with industrialists, loans from farmers will also be waived off. The Mahalakshmi scheme will be implemented. For this, details of all the families will be collected. Under the scheme, one woman will be selected from every poor family, and the Congress party will deposit Rs 1 lakh in her account annually," he said.
Raising questions over demonetisation by the Modi government, he said that due to this, people across the country not only suffered losses but also had to face problems.
Rahul said that it is a fight for our ideology. "The INDI alliance is protecting the Constitution and democracy, whereas the BJP is trying to end them," he said.
He said that BJP leaders have said that they will change the Constitution. "BJP has only cheated the youth in the name of employment. At present, about 30 lakh jobs are vacant in the country, and recruitment will be done on all posts once the INDI alliance comes to power," he said.
The Congress leader said that earlier, the youth used to get employment and pensions in the army. "They used to get the status of martyrs. The Modi government has stopped all that. Agniveer will not give them the status of martyrs, and canteen facilities will not be available," he said.
He said that the Agniveer scheme will be scrapped if a Congress government is formed. "In the Congress government, there will be a provision to give apprentice rights and jobs to all the graduates. 85,000 rupees will be deposited in the accounts of such graduates in a year," he said.
