Mizoram landslide death toll may rise to 34: Officials

Aizawl, May 29 (UNI) The death toll in Aizawl landslides caused by cyclone Remal-induced heavy rains is expected to rise to 34, while 27 bodies have been recovered so far.
Aizawl District Disaster Management Authority officials said that with the recovery of the body of 14-year-old Gloria MS Dawngliani in Melthum at around noon and a non-tribal in the adjoining Hlimen neighbourhood on Wednesday by search and rescue workers, the total number of dead bodies so far rose to 27.
