Meghalaya CM seeks six-month extension for enrolment of SNP beneficiaries

Shillong/New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday sought an extension of six months so that beneficiaries under Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) who are missing from the list could be registered.
Accompanied by Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma sought the extension during a meeting with Union minister of Women and Child Development, Annapurna Devi in New Delhi.
He said under SNP, as per monthly progress report data, there are 5,85,254 beneficiaries. However, under the POSHAN tracker only 4,00,572 beneficiaries are registered leaving out 1,84,682 beneficiaries.
