MD Markfed visits Mandis in Ludhiana, Moga and Ferozpur alongwith DCs

Chandigarh, Apr 24 (UNI) In order to ensure commitment to hassle free procurement for farmers, MD Markfed Girish Dayalan on Wednesday visited various Mandis in Ludhiana, Moga and Ferozepur districts of Punjab and interacted with various stakeholders.
In Ludhiana, Davalan and Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney paid joint visits to mandis in Jagraon sub-division. It was found that all efforts were being made by the district administration to ensure hassle free procurement. Overall payment made against payment due is 120 percent. Thepayments were being made even before the norm of 48 hours.
The officials directed the agencies to continue to ensure purchase in 24 hours and make the due payments even before 48 hours.
