Manipur Assembly session to start on Wednesday, digital process launched

Imphal, Feb 27 (UNI) Manipur Assembly session will begin on Wednesday in a new way by starting the digital process of presenting papers and making documents available in digital format. Chief Minister N. Biren Singh launched the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) on Tuesday in the Manipur Legislative Assembly, which was also attended by Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata Singh.
The Chief Minister said the Indian government has identified 44 mission mode projects, and NeVA is one of the projects to facilitate paperless assembly.
He said that one main objective of launching NeVA is to help the Assembly become more transparent, accessible, accountable, and effective in promoting democracy.
