Maha Police recruitment process to begin from June 19

Mumbai, Jun 18 (UNI) The Maharashtra State Police Department will start a recruitment drive to fill up 17,471 vacancies in the Constabulary.
Giving details of the recruitment process in a joint press conference here on Tuesday, additional commissioner of police Arvind Kumar Chawria, Rural superintendent of police Pankaj Deshmukh, superintendent of police of Railway Division Tushar Doshi said that the recruitment drive will start in the state from tomorrow to fill 17,471 vacancies for various posts including police constable, police constable driver, Jail constable, Armed Police constable and police constable bandsman.
In Pune, 1,81,769 candidates have applied for 1,219 posts in Pune City, Rural, Railway Police Force, Prison Department, they said.

Maha minister calls for peace after Vishalgad violence

Mumbai, July 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister for Minority Development and Auqaf, Marketing Abdul Sattar on Friday said that the violent incident at Vishalgad in Kolhapur district should not create a rift in society.

The Kolhapur district and police administration should take care that this incident does not create an atmosphere of fear among the minority community, he said.
