Mumbai, Sep 16 (UNI) NCP (SP) president, Sharad Pawar on Monday urged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to convene a meeting on the delay in conduct of competitive examinations and appointments in government jobs in Maharashtra, before the model code of conduct (MCC) for the Assembly polls kicks in.
“More than 32 lakh students prepare for the competitive exams. The only expectation these students have is to conduct the exams on time and they get the placement in stipulated time frame. However, presently delayed placements, pending advertisements of examinations, delay in announcement of exam dates has led to severe discontent within the candidates,” he wrote to Shinde.
