Maha: MLA Mufti Ismail suffers heart attack during election campaigning

Mumbai, Nov 12 (UNI) All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen candidate for the Malegaon Central Assembly constituency Mufti Ismail was admitted to a hospital here on Tuesday for treatment after suffering a heart attack while campaigning for the upcoming elections.
Ismail complained of chest pain on Monday and was initially admitted to a hospital in Malegaon. However, after his condition worsened and he suffered a second heart attack, doctors decided to refer him to a hospital in Mumbai. He was moved early on Tuesday morning and was admitted to Masina Hospital in South Mumbai.
In light of Mufti’s illness, most candidates in the region temporarily halted their election campaigns on Monday as a mark of respect. UNI AAA ARN SSP
