Maha: Lawrance Bishnoi gang issues threat to ex-Maha minister Dr Awhad

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) After recent firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Bandra home, the Haryana-based Lawrance Bishnoi gang on Monday targeted former Maharashtra minister Dr Jitendra Awhad with an alleged threats of extortion.
Awhad, who is the NCP (SP) national general secretary, got a call purportedly from Australia, by a person claiming to belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and made a demand for a huge amount as extortion money, allegedly at the behest of one of the gangsters, Rohit Godara.
According to sources, the call, which came on Dr Awhad’s personal mobile number at around 1330 hours, warned that if he failed to cough up the amount, “you will meet the same fate as Salman Khan.”
