Maha JD(S) strongly opposes Deve Gowda's decision to forge alliance with BJP

Kolhapur, Oct 1 (UNI) The Janata Dal (Secular) in Maharashtra has strongly condemned and opposed former prime minister and party patron Deve Gowda's decision to join hands with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In a press release issued here on Sunday, Pratap Hogade, national working committee member of JD(S), said that a meeting of state working committee members and district presidents was held on Saturday in Pune, where the decision to form an alliance with BJP was strongly condemned and opposed.
In this meet it was unanimously decided that the Maharashtra unit of JD(S) will never be a part of such an alliance under any circumstances and various state organisations of the Janata Dal have also taken a collective stance against this alliance, he said.
