Maha: Fire breaks out in multi-storey building, 10 rescued

Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) Nine patients who were undergoing treatment at an eye clinic and another one at a fertility centre were rescued after a fire broke out on the 11th floor of a 16-storey commercial building which housed eye clinic, nursing home and other establishments in neighbouring Thane city, officials said.
The fire broke out at around 2300 hours on Tuesday night in a private trust office and was doused after five hours of efforts, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell at the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
He said no one was injured but due to smoke, some people had minor problem of suffocation, he added.
