Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday asked opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to stop misleading people of Maharashtra in the name of EVMs (electronic voting machines).
Addressing a press conference here, he said that in the recently held state assembly elections, the difference between the votes of Mahayuti and MVA is more than one crore votes, therefore, the opposition leaders should stop blaming the EVMs, respect the public opinion and accept defeat.
Due to the Mahayuti government's large-scale development works and welfare schemes launched during its two-and-a-half years tenure, the Mahayuti got a spontaneous response from people in the assembly elections, and it came to power with a good margin of votes, he added.
