Lioness Rupa give birth to four cubs in Etawah Safari Park

Etawah (UP), Apr 21 (UNI) In Etawah Safari Park of Uttar Pradesh, which is popular in the country and the world as the largest habitat of Asiatic lions, lioness Rupa has given birth to four cubs, including two on Monday, a senior forest officer said here.
Director of Etawah Safari Park Dr Anil Kumar Patel said that in the Lion Safari located in Etawah Safari Park, lioness Rupa gave birth to the first cub at 12:35 an on Sunday night, the second at 1:42 am, the third cub at 5:59 am in the morning and the fourth at 9:10 am.
Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav expressed happiness on the birth of four cubs in the safari and said that the Safari Park has given a new identity to Etawah as the family of Asiatic lions is increasing, "Etawah is now becoming popular as a tourist city," he said.
