Bengaluru, March 27 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday refused to change Union Minister Pralhad Joshi's parliamentary constituency as demanded by Veerashaiva Lingayat seers citing alleged ill-treatment of the community and its leaders.
The seers, led by Sri Dingaleshwar Swami, have set a deadline for the central leadership of the BJP to address their concerns, threatening further action if their demands are not met by Sunday.
Yediyurappa emphasised Joshi's track record of inclusivity and the support he enjoys from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pledged to personally engage with the seers to resolve any misunderstandings and garner their support for Joshi.
