KIMS Hospitals Q4 PAT up 42pc at Rs 83.3 crore

Hyderabad, May 19 (UNI) Hyderabad-based Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), the largest corporate healthcare group in Telugu states with a network of 12 hospitals and over 3600 beds spread across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday said it has posted a 42 percent jump in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 83.3 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31,2022, as compared to Rs 58.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
During the quarter, the total Income was Rs. 380.5 crore and EBITDA stood at 121.8 crore, the Hospitals said in a statement here.
With this, the consolidated Total Income and EBITDA grew by 25 percent and 41 percent respectively for FY 22 as compared to FY 21.
The Board of Directors of KIMS Hospitals today approved the financial results for the period ended March 31, 2022.
Commenting on the performance, Dr. B. Bhaskara Rao, Managing Director said business momentum in Q4 was slightly muted because of COVID 3rd wave scare in January; it has since then picked up momentum.
“ I am delighted that our newly added therapies like heart & lung transplants, advanced gastroenterology & liver transplant have seen robust growth this financial year and we are confident that these advanced therapies will help us offer better clinical care to more people in the coming years”, he said.
FY 23 will be building on the momentum of our recent acquisition (Sunshine Hospitals) and charting newer growth opportunities outside of our core markets, he added.
