Kick-EV, Auto i Care to roll out 6,000 autonomous EV charging stations across Indian Highways by end of FY24

Mumbai, Jan 31 (UNI) Ahead of launch of its two-wheeler variants, Kick-EV, one of the newest entrants in electric two-wheeler segment, along with Auto i Care, India’s premiere roadside assistance provider, has kick-started their nationwide plan to launch their autonomous EV charging and service stations across Indian highways by end of Financial Year-2024.
The service and charging stations will initially benefit the Kick-EV two-wheelers and later adapting to the EV two-wheeler universe by catering to various other EV two-wheeler brands in Indian, a release stated here on Tuesday.
The goal is to install more than 6,000 state-of-the-art charging and service stations across India with around 1,000 across Maharashtra, Goa, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka to be launched in phase-1, making it one of the largest semi-public EV charging networks in the country. Maharashtra will see the highest number of EV charging stations to be set-up.
Speaking on this initiative, Sagar Joshi, founder & chief executive officer, Auto i Care and Kick-EV said, “Besides highways, the other main locations will be large urban centres, rural areas bordering the highways, airports, residential & commercial complexes, hotels, near major traffic routes.”
Kick-EV is a part of premier roadside assistance player Auto i Care, founded in 2015, the release added.
