Davanagere, June 5 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said the state budget will be tabled in the assembly on July 7 to make provisions for the implementation of 5 Guarantees (5Gs) made in the Congress election manifesto.
"We are convening the budget session where we will table the budget on July 7. During this session, we will make provisions for implementation of 5Gs as promised in our election manifesto," he told reporters here.
However, the joint assembly session will begin from July 3 wherein Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot's speech will be discussed.
Replying to a query, Siddaramaiah said he would throw light on the size of the budget after the budget preparatory meeting begins. However, the previous BJP government's budget in the runup to the election was Rs 3.08 lakh crore, he stated. UNI BDN SSP
