Kakinada: Vigilance seizes 3,200 litres of diesel

Kakinada, June 21 (UNI) The regional vigilance and enforcement squad seized a van with 16 drums -- containing 3,200 litres of diesel at Kajuluru Mandal, near here on Friday.
On a tip off, the squad intercepted the van near Kolanka village of Kajuluru Mandal 30 km from here.
The diesel was purchased by the vehicle owner in a petrol bunk in neighbouring Union territory of Yanam and transported to his aqua farm in Pedapudi mandal, without any bills.

Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said that, if necessary, the government might consider dispatching surplus paddy to neighbouring states, such as Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, if the procurement exceeds Telangana’s milling capacity.
