Bengaluru, April 15 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday indicated Iran's willingness to resolve the matter of the detainment of Indian crew members on a cargo ship.
"Yesterday night I spoke to my Iranian counterpart. I said that there were 17 crew members from India and we were making the point to the Iranian government that these people should be released.
They should not be detained. So after that, there have been follow-up conversatations between our embassies and Iranian authorities ... My Iranian counterpart was responsive. He said okay I understand it. I will try and do something to them," he told reporters here in a press conference.
