Indian Oil outlets remain open in HP, J&K despite heavy snowfall

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) It is business as usual for fuel retailer Indian Oil even as heavy snowfall and extreme cold disrupts day-to-day life in parts of Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territories (UTs) of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The state-run oil marketing company Indian Oil on Friday said that its retail outlets in far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh like Keylong, Kaza, Kinnaur are fully operational despite extreme weather.

The company's outlets in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are also functional.

Due to massive snowfall in winter season many high-altitude places are cut off making it difficult to ensure supply of essentials.

Sujoy Choudhury, Executive Director and State Head for Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at Indian Oil said that company's fuel outlets and LPG agencies are fully operational in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
