India records 1,675 Covid -19 cases

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) India recorded 1,675, new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of cases to 4,31,40 068in the country, as per the Health Ministry data on Tuesday.
As many as 31 fresh Covid fatalities were also recorded, taking the total death count in the country, as a result of coronavirus, to 5,24,490
The active cases currently stand at 14,841 which now comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75 percent.
Meanwhile, 1,635 recoveries were reported, taking the total recoveries to 4,26,00,737.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry on Tuesday, 84.74 Crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 4,7626 tests have been conducted.
“India has administered 192.52 Cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.
