Hyd: ACB traps SI & two others accepting Rs 20k bribe

Hyderabad, April 19 (UNI) The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught red-handed a Sub-Inspector of Bhadrachalm Police Station in Bhadradri Kothagudem district and two others when they were accepting Rs 20,000.
On Thursday, at 1434 hours, the Accused Officer (AO-1) Shankarashetty Shankar, Police Constable No.129 of P.S. Bhadrachalam Town was caught red-handed by the ACB officials when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 with the tacit approval of (AO-2) Mulagundla Srinivas, Sub-Inspector of Police, Bhadrachalam Police Station from the Complainant Marri Sai Teja and accompanying witness Golla Ganesh alias Pandu for himself and for AO-2 for doing official favour-- for not booking a criminal case against the complainant and two others, and releasing the mobile phones and passenger auto belonging to the complainant, a ACB statement said on Friday.
