HP: 4.72 kg hashish, cash seized in drug bust; 1 arrested

Nahan, Feb 16 (UNI) In a major anti-drug operation, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the district police seized 4.72 kg of hashish and Rs 19,700 in cash from an alleged peddler at Dhunga Ghat, Sarahan.
Acting on a tip-off, the SIU apprehended the accused, Rakesh alias Rahul of village Bhujod, Tehsil Nohradhar, late on February 8 while he was in a rain shelter.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Yogesh Rolta confirmed the contraband and cash were recovered, suspected to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
