HC asks state to take steps every year to maintain paths, trails and rides at Mahabaleshwar

Mumbai Feb 8(UNI) The Bombay High Court has asked the Maharashtra government to take necessary steps every year for maintenance of the paths, trails and rides at hill station Mahabaleshwar in district raigad during the hearing of a plea which sought its maintenance as ordered by the heritage committee.
A division bench of Acting Chief Justice SV Gangapurwala and Justice Sandeep Marne were hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking implementation of the order of the heritage committee formed under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) Act for Satara, Wai Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar area.

Pune, April 24(UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Assam and Meghalaya; at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.5°C was reported at Anantapur (Rayalaseema) over the country.
