Hardened criminal killed in encounter with UP STF in Barabanki

Barabanki (UP), May 21 (UNI) A hardened criminal carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on his arrest and leader of the Pasi gang was killed in an encounter with the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police on Wednesday, STF sources said here.
Sources said that on April 24 Shivdeen was shot dead by thieves when he resisted the theft in Dhannipurwa of Umari Begamganj village in Karnailganj area of Gonda. "One of the accused Sonu Pasi alias Bhurre who shot and killed the house owner Shivdin was killed in an encounter with the STF in Gonda on May 19," they said.
Sources swaid that the STF was still looking for Sonu's accomplice, Gyan Chandra Pasi. "On Wednesday the STF got information about the presence of criminals in the forest near Lohti Jai village near Chaukaghat, after which a trap was laid," they said.
