Goldstone Infratech delivers electric bus to KTC for trial run

Panaji, Jan 30 (UNI) Goldstone Infratech Limited, manufacturer of 100 per cent electric buses in India, delivered its first bus for trial to Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC), a Goa Government undertaking, in the city on Tuesday.
The bus was handed over to the state government and the trial run was flagged off by Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, State Transport Minister Sudin Dhavalikar in the presence of Naga Satyam, President, Strategy, Goldstone Infratech Limited and Ketsu Zhang, Executive Director, BYD India Limited.
In a statement, Mr Satyam said,''We are happy to deliver our zero emission electric bus to KTC for trial run. We hope the state will adopt the electric buses and add to the corporation's fleet. We are seeing a great level of enthusiasm in other state governments in adopting electric buses and contribute to the clean energy goals in the country.''
Goldstone-BYD has delivered its K9 variant to the Goa Government- certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The 12 meter bus will be plying on Goa roads for the next few weeks on a trial basis.
Goldstone electric buses are 100 per cent electrical, zero emission, capable of 31 passengers in eBuzz K7 and 39 passengers in eBuzz K9 and covers upto 250 km at 70 kmph on a single complete charge that takes about four hours, the statement claimed.
Goldstone had last year bagged orders to provide 31 electric buses and successfully delivered electric buses to Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation and Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking.
Goldstone Infratech Limited is in a technical collaboration with Chinese company BYD Auto Industry Co Limited, the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles in the world. The company manufactures two variants of electric buses-- eBuzz K 7 (9 mts) and eBuzz (12 mts).
