Go Ahead Eagles win first-ever Dutch Cup in dramatic penalty shootout

The Hague, Apr 22 (UNI) Go Ahead Eagles captured the Dutch KNVB Cup for the first time in the club's history on Monday, beating AZ 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in a thrilling final in Rotterdam.
AZ striker Troy Parrott had the game's first chance when he curled in the direction of the far corner, but Go Ahead goalkeeper Jari De Busser saved with help from the post. It was one of many saves from the Belgian, who would be named man of the match.
In the 54th minute, AZ was awarded a penalty after Joris Kramer brought down Ernest Poku in the box. De Busser saved Parrott's initial effort, but the penalty was retaken because Mathis Suray had encroached into the area. Parrott then converted at the second attempt to put AZ in front.
