Give strict punishment to the murderer of journalist Shashikant Warishe!: Atul Londhe

Mumbai Feb 8 (UNI) Shashikant Warishe a journalist from Rajapur was killed in broad daylight after a vehicle mowed him down. The incident was made appear as an accident but it turned out to be a well-planned murder. Chief spokesperson of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee Atul Londhe has demanded that the person who killed journalist Warishe should be punished strictly.
Speaking in this regard, Atul Londhe said that journalist Shashikant Warishe was run over by a car for writing against the refinery in Konkan. Journalist Warishe was covering news related to the proposed Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals factory in Barsu. It has been revealed that Pandharinath Amberkar, a supporter of the refinery, carried out this murder to teach Warishe lesson. Pandharinath Amberkar was threatening the protesters and journalists who were opposing the Ratnagiri refinery project. The news report written by journalist Warishe was published in Monday's issue and the same afternoon Warishe was killed after a Mahindra Thar ramped his scooty in front of a petrol pump near Rajapur.
There is a huge uproar amongst the public as well as the media against the brutal killing of Warishe. They are all demanding that the culprit be punishment severely.
