Former Spain soccer boss goes on trial over kissing woman player

Madrid, Feb 3 (UNI) The former president of Spain's football federation, Luis Rubiales, goes on trial on Monday, for alleged sexual assault on player Jenni Hermoso.
Hermoso is slated to give witness on the opening day. The trial would continue till February 19, according to a BBC report.
The incident occurred during the medal ceremony after Spain' defeated England in Sydney to win the 2023 World Cup, Rubiales grabbed Hermoso by the head when she was receiving her medal and kissed her on the lips. Afterwards, Hermoso said the kiss had not been consensual, while Rubiales insisted it had been.
