Five lakh jobs assured if NPP voted to power: Meghalaya CM

Amapti (Meghalaya), Jan 31 (UNI) Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday assured that his party, the National People’s Party (NPP) will provide five lakh jobs to the youth if voted to power again.
“The NPP is committed to ensure that the youth are provided with job opportunities through different entrepreneurship programmes and initiatives,” Sangma said at an election rally in Ampati.
Leading a cavalcade of over 2000 bikes from the front, Sangma covered a distance of over 20 kilometre before entering Ampati, the traditional stronghold of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mukul Sangma, in style amidst the thumping of the bikes.
